Oakside is one of my favorite places to frequent. Whether I am going in for lunch mid-week or enjoying a weekend outing with friends on a weekend. Their service is excellent, their food foraminal. They have a large restaurant for dining downstairs with family, and a bar area upstairs (18 and over) for drinks- full menu available. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. It's a must go more than once!

Lovely restauraunt tucked in Big Bear with lots of great nature and beautiful scenery Service was super friendly and accommodating (we had a pretty big team of 10+) and lots of gems from the menu! All their burgers and fries (esp sweet potato) are amazing, and the street tacos were also pretty yummy. We also got the shrimp poke, but it was just shrimp and avocado doused in sesame oil, which was just okay. Overall nice spot to grab a bite when visiting Big Bear!

Welcoming greeting outside of the entrance. They seat you promptly. Darker romantic ambiance. Great for romantic dinner. Husband enjoyed his burger and we both loved the sweet potato fries. The calamari was alsoooo delicious. more lemon would have been great but we were hungry. The pasta is the only one I felt had too much flour in the sauce / tasted bland ... the scallops were good the pastas texture was great but the flavor of the sauce was not so great. We had a pleasant evening great waiter.

Came here for lunch on a whim after arriving in the village and looking for a new place to try on vacay. Hostess was kind and patient after I let her know I was having trouble receiving texts but wanted to be sure we didn't miss the notification that we could be seated. It was a little busy yesterday (Sunday) so we found a bench tucked away to wait on and moved closer to the hostess' stand when space opened up. She didn't see us at first and went out of her way to walk around & look for us (which she didn't have to do). Once seated, there was a little delay for the server to arrive & take our order so we put in drinks and the entrees all at once. She was quick to bring our drinks. We took a booth inside & toward the back. It was a little darker in that area however, you could still see the patio and beautiful flowers outside. We waited an average amount of time for our food: the fish & chips w/ a side salad (which my husband & child shared) and the Waldorf chicken salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread w/ a side of coleslaw for myself. They loved their food and I devoured mine as fast as I could. It was flavorful, fresh and the grapes inside were crisp! Our server checked on us periodically and was very kind to our child. She saw that he hadn't received the strawberry part of the lemonade and brought him a brand new one. While this spot is great for lunch, has a patio that is dog friendly and an inviting ambiance that welcomes couples on an evening date, it is still a great option for families looking for a good lunch option in a nicer restaurant. We'd definitely come back here! No pictures to post cause the food was so good that we ate it all before even thinking about taking any.
